ABC TV Upfronts, May 15, 2007

At first it was to believed that there was a "lock-down" on the photographers who were credentialed to shoot this event at Lincoln Center. It was just WireImage, Getty, AP, Reuters, and Retna. A big group of us waited several hours and then we were told we were going to get a large double sided pen. It turned out to be perfect, aside for some nasty backlighting conditions later in the afternoon. ABC has the best shows, and we got almost everyone to walk the "carpet" in front of us: the women from "Deperate Housewives:" Nicolette Sheridan, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Terri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, most of the group from "Lost:" Terry O'Quinn, Matthew Fox (who looked incredible), Josh Holloway, Emilie deRavin, Naveen Andrews, Michael Emerson and Evangaline Lilly, America Ferrera who looked as radiant as ever, Kate Walsh, Sara Ramierez, James Pickens Jr,"Dr. McSteamy" Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayheart, Chandra Wilson, Ellen Pompeo from "Grey's Anatomy," Ashton Kutcher, Jerry O'Connell, Christina Applegate, Laura Prepon and Bryan Greenberg (it was GREAT to see them-this means that "October Road" has been picked up and Bryan assured me it was), Rebecca Romijn, Rob Lowe and MANY MANY more. It was a super event with great talent from all my favorite shows!

Arcade Fire WOW me with their performance at Radio City Music Hall, May 9, 2007

I can't remember the last time I shot a concert where I walked away and kept repeating "WOW. WOW. WOW"
Tonight it was just that. Husband and wife Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire performed at Radio City Music Hall. I had heard of them, was told they were good, but that was an understatement. I wish I didn't have a deadline for the NY Daily News..I would have loved to have stayed. I haven't bought a CD in ages, and it looks like I will be heading out to buy Arcade Fire's latest CD.

we only had one song to shoot, but it was perfect. Perfect lighting, a nice, long song, a very handsome performer and he was all over the stage. If only every concert were this good...
