Sisters Beyonce and Solange Knowles were spotted earlier today in Brooklyn, New York exiting the Buttermilk Channel restaurant for some good ole Sunday Brunch. 

Both sisters changed up their hairstyles a bit - as Bey sported bags, while Solange showed off her kinky coif on this fall Sunday.

....Solange Knowles on her style inspiration. 

Diana Ross is the quite obvious one. If you look at pictures of her in the ’60s, ’70s, through the ’80s, she embodied everything about that era in such a timeless way. Her hair is a whole other conversation! And seeing photos of my mother from the ’60s and ’70s, she was a total rebel with her style. She had extremely fine hair and washed it with detergent to coarsen it up and had this amazing Afro.

Detergent? First I've ever heard of that!

Solange is DEFINITELY one of the best dressed people in the business (my personal opinion). Her usage of bold patterns/prints coupled with that SICKENIN' 'fro makes me melt! I look forward to seeing her looks when she hits the red carpet!

And just think. This is the same girl with the red-colored braids back in the day! My My My, have we grown!

Ecclectic singer, DJ and all around fashionista Solange Knowles sure has come a long way since the red individual braids and Jamaican motif clothing that she used to rock back in the day, eh?

The younger sister of Beyonce Knowles was spotted at the launch of her sister's new fragrance in NYC last night and even played House DJ!

Via Pharrell Williams BBC blog, he and R&B star Solange Knowles were in the music studio recently working on her new album:

According to Rap-Up, "The two were working on the singer’s third album, which is said to have a dance, new wave-inspired sound. The Neptunes hitmaker played the keys and vibed with the younger Knowles on the couch during their recent recording sessions."
